Chairman TFHI chaired the nationwide consultative forum on e-Health at Lahore, organized by “e-Lahore” project of PIID, Islamabad. The meeting was attended by leading philanthropists / development sector experts / civil servants / technology partners and representatives from academia and civil society organizations. The meeting resolved to promote e-Health solution for the remoter segments of society where doctors are generally not available. Kawish Welfare Trust, Medibank, Akhuwat, PIID, NexSource, Plabesk, Wan Miana Model and TFHI made presentations among others on the current scenarios and the way forward. While Kawish offered to make their RTMC (Rural Tele Medicine Centre) services available for a range of tele-medicine facilities, the Medibank offered to provide free medicines to all the poor visiting those facilities.
